My passion for photography has always been there, I remember being 8 and asking my uncle to borrow his camera for the summer. I remember being 18 and deciding on graphic design as a major only for the photography class. I remember being 23, in a weird spot in life and picking the camera back up and feeling like I was able to breathe. Documenting life has always been part of who I am. Photography is my safe space and where I feel most at home. While I believe there is an art to living in the moment, there is also an art to capturing a moment once gone to relive for generations that have yet to come. Having spent my entire working career between customer service and healthcare I have created a deep passion for serving others in all aspects of life.

I’ve always said that no matter what I do in life, I want to travel, be happy and make others happy. Knowing I have a ticket booked to head somewhere helps me accomplish those three things. There’s a certain peace I find in exploring different cultures and little pockets of the world. Every time I come home, I feel like I bring a small piece of the places I’ve been with me—their traditions, their way of life, and the way they see the world. And somehow, each place leaves me a little different than it found me.

In my time away from photography you can often find me with a book, watching Gilmore Girls, The big bang theory or friends and hanging out with my sweet husband and our puppies Bentley and Chloe!

LIZ’S FAVORITES

  • An iced latte with brown sugar and honey OR my more recent favorite has been dark chocolate (syrup not the mocha sauce) and strawberry!!

    Favorite coffee shop right now is Sips and Scoops in Springfield, Missouri!!

  • Sushiiiiii or some variation of girl dinner (or an everything but the kitchen sink dinner if you will)

  • I’ve recently gotten really into diamond art (it’s so therapeutic and a good (and cheap) way to unwind and turn your brain off.

    and… the obvious booking impulsive trips (sorry nick…)

  • Blue and pink (with a recent discovery of yellow… lifechanging) 

  • Friends, Big Bang Theory, Gilmore girls, The Summer I turned Pretty and Off Campus !!

  • I don’t have a favorite book per se but I do love anything romance or lighthearted. I will pick up the occasional action/adventure book but neverrrrrrrrr horror !
